Design a Bus 2023

CityLink Whangārei are celebrating public transport with a competition for primary-school aged children to design a bus back. The theme is “Why You Should Catch The Bus”.

Kids can draw happy bus passengers, make a colourful design, or show why using public transport instead of cars helps the environment.

The Winner will have their awesome design printed onto the back of a CityLink bus AND win a $100 Prezzy Card!

Two Highly Commended entries will win a $50 Prezzy Card.

The competition opens on Car Free Day, Friday 22 September, and closes on Friday 27 October 2023. The winner will be announced by Friday 17 November 2023.

So get your tamariki entering to show off their design and colouring-in skills and you could see their design zipping around Whangārei city centre on a CityLink bus!

Competition info

Entrants must be aged 5-11.

Entrants can colour, or free-draw, or colour and free-draw, on the Design a CityLink Bus Entry form template designed for the competition. You can download the Entry form here

Entries must be made using the Competition Entry form and clearly enter all the requested information on the Entry.

Entrants must be willing be photographed with their family by their winning design bus back and to be featured on CityLink Facebook page and website.

The Winner will have their design printed onto a CityLink bus and win a $100 Pressie card.

Two Highly Commended designs will each win a $50 Pressie Card.

You can download your Entry Form here or you can come to Rose Street and pick one up in person!

Once complete, you can enter online using the Form for Entry below, which lets you upload photos direct from your phone.

Or you can email the entry to us at citylink@nrc.govt.nz. You can also post it to us at NRC, Private Bag 9021, Te Mai, Whangārei 0143 or you can hand it in to NRC Reception at 36 Water Street, Whangārei.
